Pan Cubano (9 Mini Loaves)
PREP TIME: 12-16 HOURS
STEP 1 Fill a medium size pot with water and place inside the oven on the bottom rack or floor of the oven.
STEP 2 Separate the frozen bread and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper at least 3-4’’ apart.
STEP 3 With the oven off, place the frozen bread in the oven on a rack above the pot filled with water for 12-16 hours to allow the bread to rise. COOK TIME: 45 MINUTES
STEP 4 Remove the pot of water and bread tray from the oven and preheat to 350°F.
STEP 5 Right before placing bread in the pre-heated oven, take a sharp knife and, very gently, without pushing down too hard on the bread, make a shallow cut down the top center of the bread length wise. This allows the bread to expand while baking.
STEP 6 Place the tray in the center of the oven and set timer 30 minutes*.
STEP 7 Once the bread is cooked, remove from the oven let cool for 10 minutes.
